New Aardman Isle of Man Stamps Launched!

With Aardman’s 40th anniversary just around the corner, the Isle of Man Post Office has launched a special collection of stamps to mark the occasion! Featuring Morph alongside other favourite Aardman characters, the stamps also commemorate six memorable moments from the Aardman story.

Morph enjoyed a visit to the Isle of Man to have his picture taken with some local landmarks for two stamps in the collection, plus the stamps also feature Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Timmy and Trixie and Cuddlepuss, the adorable dog and cat duo from Creature Comforts.

There is a variety of sets on offer, including first day covers and character sheetlets. If you’d like something really special to decorate your wall with, there’s also a stunning limited edition print, signed by Peter Lord and featuring an exclusive picture of Morph covered in stamps. Limited to a run of just 100 prints, this very special collector’s piece includes a first day cover of all the stamps in the collection and is presented in a smart solid wood frame.

Maxine Cannon, Isle of Man Stamps and Coins General Manager said: “All of us at the Isle of Man Post Office feel extremely proud to be working with Aardman on such a fantastic and nostalgic collection of stamps to celebrate ‘40 Years of Creativity’ from the studio. It was a really special day when Morph came into our office, especially watching him lark about in the sorting office! We are committed as a business to encourage innovative thinking, and we hope that these stamps continue to inspire creativity amongst our community”.

The stamp collection is available to pre-order from the Post Office website.
