Morph’s celebrating his 40th birthday in style this summer, with the arrival of a 3-metre sculpture AND a new exhibition at the Mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol!
MegaMorph appeared at Bristol Children’s Hospital this week and will be travelling to five different locations in June before finishing his tour at The Mall on 10th July. As if that wasn’t enough excitement, there will then be an exhibition dedicated to all things Morph running from 14th July until 5th September at the Gromit Unleashed Shop at The Mall.
‘Morph: Still Naughty at 40!’ gives fans the chance to explore hands-on activities (including an interactive green screen), a cinema showcasing some of Morph and Chas’ most legendary moments and Morph model-making.
The real stars of the show are 20 Morph sculptures designed exclusively for the exhibition by Peter Lord. Each pint-size sculpture has a unique theme – we won’t spoil the surprise but one of the models involves disco attire!
In the run up to the exhibition, you can have fun tracking down MegaMorph as he makes his way across the city – here’s where he’ll be and when:
Outside Bristol Children’s Hospital from 13th June
Outside Royal West of England Academy from 15th June
By Museum Square, Harbourside from 20th June
Clifton Suspension Bridge from 24th June
Outside Aardman HQ from 29th June
Outside The Mall at Cribbs Causeway from 10th July
Be sure to take a pic and use the tag #myMorphselfie – we’d love to see your pictures and share them on our channels, plus all tagged pictures will entered into a competition with the Grand Appeal to win some official ‘Morph: Still Naughty at 40!’ merchandise!
Entrance to the exhibition at The Mall is free, with a suggested donation of £2 to Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal. Visitors will have the opportunity to purchase a range of exclusive exhibition merchandise, with all profits going to the charity.
