A big thank you to everyone who took part in our very first Morph in the World photo competition – we had a HUGE response and were blown away by your brilliant models and the imaginative adventures you took your Morphs on this summer!
With over 150 entries to choose from, it was always going to be a difficult task narrowing down our favourites. We were delighted to get entries from all ages and from fans across the globe. And what wonderful adventures Morph got up to in your pictures! From days out at the beach and indoor fun at the library; splashing about in seas and rivers to visiting some sculptures on the Gromit Unleashed 2 trail, Morph got up to all sorts of fun during the summer holidays.
Competition judge Peter Lord was really impressed with your enthusiasm for the challenge and had the difficult task of choosing just one winner from our (very long!) longlist to win this very special bespoke model:
After much deliberation, Peter chose David as the winner of this year’s competition for his beautifully created shots of Morph trying out diving. Featuring very accomplished model making skills and clever use of props and posing, Peter felt that David truly captured the essence of ‘Morph in the World’ – the props in particular (diving mask and flippers) really impressed us.
We’ve created a gallery of our competition longlist so you can see which other entries we thought deserved a mention. They include one of Morph getting sporty by Alistair – Peter thought this was a great model and pose; great improvisation on the cricket wicket, too!
James’ fun picture of Morph cooling down in the heatwave also got a mention by Peter who loved the look on Morph’s face as he holds a human size fan!
Rose was one of our most prolific entrants, and we particularly loved her picture of Morph atop a sunflower – we thought this was a really great idea with lovely composition. Rose also made us smile with a typically British beach scene – her Morph is still smiling despite the clouds! And Peter commented on Rose’s picture of Morph taking a dip in the river – it’s not easy to pose Morph underwater!
We all loved Kram’s charming picture of Morph helping his old pal Chas while tree climbing, while Mikayla and Lucy captured all the hustle and bustle of Morph having an adventure in the Australian city of Melbourne. Tia and Kenzie made us laugh with their Morph on the dancefloor (great use of props!) and Nat’s picture of Morph on a boat, complete with life vest and paddle, was another highly commended entry.
But well done to everyone who took part – we loved seeing all your creative ideas and we hope you enjoyed taking your Morph out and about this summer. We will be featuring our favourite pictures on Morph’s social media channels too so be sure to check out Facebook and Instagram!
