Morph’s Epic Art Adventure London Announced!

Aardman has teamed up with Whizz-Kidz – the UK’s leading charity for young wheelchair users – and Wild in Art to bring the first accessible arts trail to London, featuring 70 Morph sculptures!

Coming to London in Summer 2023, the wheelchair-friendly and step-free trail will bring a collection of colourful, 6-foot tall Morph sculptures to the city, taking in iconic landmarks such as St Paul’s Cathedral, Tate Modern, the Tower of London, Shakespeare’s Globe and Borough Market.

Once the trail has ended, each of the individually designed sculptures will be auctioned off to raise funds for Whizz-Kids, which works to ensure every young wheelchair user is mobile, enabled and included. Around 75,000 young people in the UK need a wheelchair to be mobile and the charity helps to provide wheelchairs and mobility equipment to people across the country. The trail will help to raise awareness for the charity and the need for better access and inclusion.

When the trail launches, visitors will be able to download an app to help them find the Morphs, plus there will be dedicated social media channels to keep up to date with the latest Morph’s Epic Art Adventure in London news.

Morph’s co-creator Peter Lord attended an event in London to announce the trail, saying: “We are totally thrilled to be working with the excellent charity Whizz-Kidz on London’s first step-free art trail. Morph started his career in animation back in the seventies, appearing alongside Tony Hart on the artist’s work-table. Ever since he’s been a source of entertainment and inspiration for kids, with his unique blend of creativity, mischief and fun. I’m sure that local residents and visitors to London – young and old – will also be inspired to get creative and join Morph for an Epic Art Adventure.”
